DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy
ForbiddenSteps (forbiddensteps.com) respects copyright laws and responds to valid takedown requests under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Since we only link to and embed videos hosted by third parties, removing a listing here means the listing is taken down, but the original file stays with its host. The host should also be notified if you want the content removed from their site.
How to send a takedown notice
To send a takedown notice, contact our designated Copyright Agent through the contact page at contact page. Your notice must include:
- The URL of each listing on forbiddensteps.com you want removed
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed
- Your contact information
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
What happens after you send a notice
We review complete notices within a few business days and remove the listed content. If your notice is missing any required information, we will ask you to provide it. Users who repeatedly infringe copyrights will be removed from our index. If you believe a removal was a mistake, you can submit a counter-notice under § 512(g) through the same contact method.
